                             How useful/effective are online self-assessment tests.

Online self-assessment tests are good to check general knowledge of learner about that language he learns, but it will not give you detailed feedback about your knowledge, it will just say your level and how many correct answers you get. Basically, so far, all self-assessment tests I have done only will check your grammar and it is rare for them to give you other sections of checking your knowledge, but who knows hopefully I might be wrong. The reason why there is only grammar I guess it does not take a lot of time , whereas reading takes a lot of time and effort and it difficult to read on computer or cell phone, it is more convenient to read it when it is printed. Also, Listening is about note-taking skills it might seem difficult as well.
